John 15:16-17
“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. This is my command: Love each other.”
A few weeks ago, after sharing about Grow in Hope Ministries with the congregation on September 8th, I noticed a similarity between the Wisteria plant at our home and the church. When we moved into our home in 2019, the Wisteria was small, barely reaching the gutter. A year later, we built a trellis to support its growth, and to our surprise, it quickly spread the entire length and bloomed. The plant grew into beautiful vines, supported by the trellis, and produced more flowers than before. This reminded me of the church—God’s people, like the trellis, supporting our ministry to bear more fruit. We thank our brothers and sisters at Trinity Lutheran Church for being like that trellis to Grow in Hope Ministries! Since 2020, your generous support has enabled us to renovate three children’s units at Mulago Hospital, saving countless lives and improving care. Your love and generosity are transforming Uganda, both physically and spiritually. We saw firsthand this summer the impact you’re making, and we invite you to visit Uganda with us to witness the difference for yourselves.
The promise of John 15 is clear: God produces the fruit through us. After praying for the full amount to fund the Stanfield Children’s Ward renovation, a family from Trinity was miraculously prompted by God to donate a $100,000 stock gift for the need! To God be the glory! Additionally, many others from Trinity have generously given, including new monthly sponsors, enabling us to expand our staff and reach more people with the hope of the Gospel. Because of your compassion and love, we are expanding into village settings and responding to urgent needs at Nsinze Health Center IV. We believe that the God who miraculously provided for these needs will also provide for the Infants Unit Expansion and Therapy Room that is onthe Outreach ballot this year. As we look ahead, we trust that God will continue to move in powerful ways, opening new doors and expanding our ability to realize our vision of transforming the health system in Uganda for His glory.
Imagine the impact this will have—not just in Uganda, but in our church. God is moving, and He will continue to do amazing things as we trust Him and join him where He is working. Thank you, Trinity Lutheran Church, for supporting the medical needs of Ugandan children. Our branch is growing, and with your help, we will bear even more fruit. Let us keep bearing fruit together as we love each other!
Overflowing with thanksgiving and gratitude,
Aaron and Amanda Wolfe
