Praise Like Fireworks 2024: A Choir Camp to Remember!

8v6a0545

What a week! This year’s 29th Choir Camp, themed Praise Like Fireworks, was nothing short of incredible. From the moment the first song began, the energy was contagious—an explosion of joy, laughter, and worship that carried us through the entire camp!

We had over 170 young singers and 50 enthusiastic volunteers come together for a week full of music, movement, and faith. Throughout the camp, the kids not only learned to sing and play chimes but also discovered the art of songwriting, drumming, and expressing worship in new ways. It was a week packed with fun games, yummy snacks, and hands-on art projects that kept everyone smiling!

Throughout the week, campers were immersed in all kinds of fun and activities that combined faith and creativity. Whether they were learning to sing, playing handbells, or mastering the art of writing their own songs, the focus was always on worship and connection.

A Week Packed with Fun and Creativity

Praise Like Fireworks wasn’t just about music—it was a multi-sensory experience filled with fun and excitement! The kids had the chance to:

  • Create Music: From learning to play handbells and chimes to practicing songs and rhythms, every camper got a chance to grow musically. Whether it was discovering new instruments or joining in group worship, every moment was a musical adventure.
  • Songwriting: Campers learned the basics of writing their own songs, putting their hearts and creativity into lyrics that praised God in their own unique way.
  • Creative Art Projects: We took creativity to the next level with paint squirt guns, where campers literally blasted their artwork into existence! The vibrant and fun-filled art stations encouraged them to explore new ways to express their love for God through painting and crafts.
  • Outdoor Games and Fun: From relay races to team-building challenges, campers engaged in a variety of outdoor games that kept the energy high and the laughter flowing. We had friendly competitions and plenty of time to make new friends while playing.
  • Drumming and Percussion: The drumming circles were one of the highlights! Campers got to feel the rhythm of worship, banging on drums in sync with the heartbeat of the music. It was loud, joyful, and powerful!

Worship and Celebration

Each day was filled with worship through song and dance. We started the day with energetic praise and ended it by reflecting on the day’s lessons. The kids had so much fun learning how music can be a way to connect with God and each other.

The week wrapped up with a final performance and lunch for families, where the campers showed off everything they learned. It was such a special moment, and we’re sure everyone left with full hearts and big smiles!

Thank You!

A huge thank you to all the parents, campers, volunteers, and staff who helped make this week so special. Your support and dedication made Praise Like Fireworks a week to remember!

We can’t wait to do it all again next year for our 30th Choir Camp! Until then, keep the praise going strong!
