In this month’s series of Ways to Pray for the Youth We Serve we will feature Samuel Wolfe, Elliot Schaaf, Ethan Jurjevic, and Brayden Pence. As we continue to pray for the youth of Trinity let us also pray for the youth of our community. We pray that the children of Ashland will love God’s Word and that God will give them compassion for others.
It is with joy that we present Samuel Wolfe. Samuel is a senior and will graduate this June from Ashland High School. Additionally, he is currently enrolled in College Credit Plus classes through North Central State College and plans to pursue a career in nursing.
Samuel is a diver on the Ashland Arrows Swim and Dive Team, where he competes in the one-meter dive. At Trinity, he helps control the sound system and cameras for our various services and sings with High Praise. Sam enjoys helping our congregation whenever needed.
Sam feels that God has blessed him with a wonderful life, good health and strength. His spiritual gift is his ability to help others as needs arise. Titus 3:1-9 is his preferred verse: “1Remind them to be submissive to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work, 2to speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all people. 3For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another. 4But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, 5he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, 6whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. 8The saying is trustworthy, and I want you to insist on these things, so that those who have believed in God may be careful to devote themselves to good works. These things are excellent and profitable for people. 9But avoid foolish controversies, genealogies, dissensions, and quarrels about the law, for they are unprofitable and worthless.”
Samuel would like to ask his Trinity family to please pray that God will continue to provide guidance throughout his life. As Samuel prepares for graduation, we would like to thank Sam for his dedication to our church community and for his Christ-like service.
